Programing your heating or cooling schedule

The Hunter programmable thermostat allows you to set a custom schedule by programing the temperature your has is at set times of the day. You can set up to four times and temperatures for Monday threw Friday and four times and temperatures for Saturday and Sunday for both heat and cool modes.

Note: While in program mode the thermostat will return to normal mode if no buttons are pressed in a fifteen second time span.

Select heat or cool to program the corresponding system.

Press “program” to enter program mode.

Press up or down arrows to select the hour you want the temperature to be at.

Press “program” again to change to minutes.

Select the minute using the up or down arrows.

Press “program” to select the temperature for that time.

Press “program to move to the next program time and repeat all for the 2,3,4 program of the week and for all four programs for the weekend.

Finally press “program” to return to normal mode.

You have now programed your thermostat. So sit back and enjoy the savings.  For an example of a program I set my as follows:

Monday-Friday
1. 12:00am    65deg
2. 06:00am    68deg
3. 07:00am    70deg
4. 10:00pm    68deg

Saturday-Sunday
1. 12:00am    65deg
2. 07:00am    68deg
3. 08:00am    70deg
4. 10:00pm    68deg

As you can see they are fairly the same put I sleep in a little longer on the weekend. When everyone is in bed I let the house cool down to 65deg but then it gradually warms up to 70deg by the time we wake up.

Auto Recovery

Now is a good time to tell you about Hunter's Auto Recovery mode that meets the Energy Star guidelines. Auto Recovery is on by default and gradually raises or lowers the temperature so your house will be at the set temperature at the time you set. This allows the heat to gradually run instead of try to raise the temperature all at once saving you money. The Hunter Thermostat will display “RECO” when Auto Recovery is in progress. The Auto Recovery switch is on the back of the thermostat.

Filter Reminder

The Hunter model 44110 has a filter reminder function that will remind you to change your filter after 400 hours of operation. To reset the counter press and hold “filter” for three seconds.
